【摘要】:1ProductdefinitionThisstandardcontainstheinitial,startoflifedimensional,optical,mechanicalandenvironmentalperformancerequirementswhichaterminatedandassembledsinglemoderesilientalignmentsleeveMU-PCsimplexconnectorset(plugadaptorplug)mustmeetinorderforittobecategorisedasanENstandardproduct.Sincedifferentvariantsandgradesofperformancearepermitted,productmarkingdetailsaregivenin3.5.2IntermateabilityAlthoughallproductsconformingtotherequirementsofthisstandardwillintermate,theresultinglevelofrandomattenuationperformancewillonlybeensuredinaccordancewithTable1.Theintentionisthatthiswillbetrueirrespectiveofthemanufacturingsource(s)oftheproduct.Inallcases,theintermatingofplugvariantshavingdifferentattenuationorreturnlossgradeswillresultinanuncertainlevelofrandomattenuationperformance.Whenintermatingplugvariantshavingdifferentreturnlossgrades,theresultinglevelofreturnlosscannotbeassuredtobeanybetterthantheworstreturnlossgradeSimilarly,theintermatingofagradePplugwithagradeQplugwillresultinanuncertainlevelofrandomattenuationperformance.3OperatingenvironmentThetestsselectedcombinedwiththeseveritiesanddurationsarerepresentativeofanEN61753CategoryUenvironmentandtheES200671environment.4ReliabilityWhilsttheanticipatedservicelifeexpectancyoftheproductinthisenvironmentis20years,compliancewiththisstandarddoesnotguaranteethereliabilityoftheproduct.Thisshouldbepredictedusingarecognisedreliabilityassessmentprogramme.5QualityassuranceCompliancewiththisstandarddoesnotguaranteethemanufacturingconsistencyoftheproduct.Thisshouldbemaintainedusingarecognisedqualityassuranceprogramme.
