【摘要】:1.1Thisguidecoversinformationpertainingtoabroadspectrumofpracticesandapplicationsofsoilatmospheresampling,includingsamplerecoveryandhandling,sampleanalysis,datainterpretation,anddatareporting.Thisguidecanincreasetheawarenessofsoilgasmonitoringpractitionersconcerningimportantaspectsofthebehaviorofthesoil-water-gas-contaminantsysteminwhichthismonitoringisperformed,aswellasinformthemofthevarietyofavailabletechniquesofeachaspectofthepractice.Appropriateapplicationsofsoilgasmonitoringareidentified,asarethepurposesofthevariousapplications.Emphasisisplacedonsoilgascontaminantdeterminationsincertainapplicationexamples.1.2Thisguidesuggestsavarietyofapproachesusefultosuccessfullymonitorvadosezonecontaminantswithinstructionsthatofferdirectiontothosewhogenerateandusesoilgasdata.1.3Thisguidedoesnotrecommendastandardpracticetofollowinallcasesnordoesitrecommenddefinitecoursesofaction.Thesuccessofanyonesoilgasmonitoringmethodologyisstronglydependentupontheenvironmentinwhichitisapplied.1.4Concernsofpractitionerliabilityorprotectionfromorreleasefromsuchliability,orboth,arenotaddressedbythisguide.1.5Thisguideisorganizedintothefollowingsectionsandsubsectionsthataddressspecificsegmentsofthepracticeofmonitoringsoilgas:1.6Thisguidedoesnotpurporttosetstandardlevelsofacceptablerisk.Useofthisguideforpurposesofriskassessmentiswhollytheresponsibilityoftheuser1.7inch-pound-units;Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.8Thisguideoffersanorganizedcollectionofinformationoraseriesofoptionsanddoesnotrecommendaspecificcourseofaction.Thisdocumentcannotreplaceeducationorexperienceandshouldbeusedinconjunctionwithprofessionaljudgment.Notallaspectsofthisguidemaybeapplicableinallcircumstances.ThisASTMstandardisnotintendedtorepresentorreplacethestandardofcarebywhichtheadequacyofagivenprofessionalservicemustbejudged,norshouldthisdocumentbeappliedwithoutconsiderationofaproject''smanyuniqueaspects.Theword"Standard"inthetitleofthisdocumentmeansonlythatthedocumenthasbeenapprovedthroughtheASTMconsensusprocess.
