【摘要】:Alltestmethodshaveanoutputintheformofatestresult.Thisguideprovidesinformationontheconstructionoftestresultsfrommoreelementalmeasurements.Awelldefinedtestresultisnecessarybeforeanyprecisionstatementscanbemadeaboutthetestmethod.FormandStyleforASTMStandards,SectionA21,requiresthateverytestmethodshallcontainastatementregardingitsprecision,preferablyasaresultofaninterlaboratorytestprogram.ReportingofsuchstudiesisdescribedinE177,whichillustratesthedevelopmentoftestresultsfromobservationsandtestdeterminations.PrecisionstatementsforASTMtestmethodsareapplicabletotestresults.Theyarenotapplicabletotestdeterminationsorobservations,unlessspecificallyandclearlyindicatedotherwise.1.1Thepurposeofthisguideistoprovideguidelinesforidentifyingtheelementsthatcomprisethetestresultofatestmethodandtoillustratehowtheseelementscombineintothetestresult.

【摘要】:Thisguideidentifiestheresponsibilitiesofthefiber,fabric,andclothingmanufacturers,aswellastheprocessor,theprocessorrsquo;chemicalsupplierandtheenduser.Thisguidedescribesthekeycomponentsinvolvedinaprogramforthecareandmaintenanceofflame,thermal,andarcresistantclothing.Theguidelinesinthisstandardwillprovideaprocessorassistancetodevelopaprocessingsystemthatmaintainstheflame,thermal,andarcresistantcharacteristicsoftheclothingduringitsusefulservicelife.5.3.1Thedevelopmentofpublishedformulasforeachfabricandlevelofsoilingisdifficultatanygivenpointintimeduetoongoingcontinuousimprovementofflame,thermalandarcresistantclothing,includingnewfibers,fabrics,andlaunderingequipmentandprocedures.Theguidealsoprovidessuggestionsastowhenflame,thermal,andarcresistantgarmentsshouldberemovedfromservice.1.1Thisguideprovidesrecommendationsforthecareandmaintenanceofclothingthatisflame,thermal,andarcresistant.1.2TheserecommendationsaddresstheIndustrialLaunderingprocess.Note18212;TheNationalInstituteforOccupationalSafetyandHealth(NIOSH)recommendsleavingclothingsoiledwithhazardouschemicalsatworktobelaunderedbytheemployer;orifsuchclothingiswashedathome,tolaunderseparatelyfromthefamilywash.1.2.1Thisguidedoesnotapplytodrycleaningofflame,thermal,andarcresistantclothing.Formoreinformationondrycleaning,followlabelinstructionsorcontactyourgarmentsupplier.Note28212;Drycleaningindicatescleaningbyaprofessionaldrycleaner.1.2.2Thisguidedoesnotapplytohomelaunderingofflame,thermal,andarcresistantclothing.Formoreinformationonhomelaundering,followlabelinstructionsorcontactyourgarmentsupplier.Note38212;Homelaunderingindicateslaunderinginahomelaunderingmachine.1.3Itisimportantthatpotentiallyflammablecontaminantsareremovedfromgarmentsduringthewashprocess.Ifflammablecontaminantsarenotremoved,theflameresistanceofthegarmentwillbecompromised.(SeeNote1.)Note48212;Effectivecleaningandpropermaintenanceoftheprotectivecharacteristicsofflame,thermalandarcresistantprotectiveclothingshouldincludeconsiderationoftheservicesaprofessionalprocessorcansupply.1.4ItisimportantthattheprocessesandmaterialsusedtolaunderflameresistantgarmentsarecompatiblewiththeFRmaterialstoensurethattheFRprotectionofthegarmentisnotcompromisedduringthelaunderingprocess.1.5Itistheresponsibilityoftheendusertodetermineiftheirlaunderingmethodistheappropriatecareandmaintenanceprocedurefortheirapplication.(SeeAppendixX1andX1.1.)1.6Thisguidedoesnotapplytospecializedprotectivegarmentssuchasspecializedfirefighterturnoutgearandproximityfirefighterensembles.1.7Thisguidealsoidentifiesinspectioncriteriathataresignificanttotheperformanceofflame,thermal,andarcresistantclothing.
