【摘要】:Thispracticesetsforthatestingmethodologyforevaluatingthepropertiesofthermalinsulationmaterialstobeusedinsolarcollectorswithconcentrationratiosoflessthan10.TestsaregivenhereintoevaluatethepH,surfaceburningcharacteristics,moistureadsorption,waterabsorption,thermalresistance,linearshrinkage(orexpansion),hotsurfaceperformance,andacceleratedaging.Thispracticeprovidesatestforsurfaceburningcharacteristicsbutdoesnotprovideamethodologyfordeterminingcombustibilityperformanceofthermalinsulationmaterials.Thetestsshallapplytoblanket,rigidboard,loose-fill,andfoamthermalinsulationmaterialsusedinsolarcollectors.Otherthermalinsulationmaterialsshallbetestedinaccordancewiththeprovisionssetforthhereinandshouldnotbeexcludedfromconsideration.Theassumptionismadethatelevatedtemperature,moisture,andappliedstressesaretheprimaryfactorscontributingtothedegradationofthermalinsulationmaterialsusedinsolarcollectors.Solarradiationisnotconsideredacontributingfactorsinceinsulatingmaterialsarenotnormallyexposedtoit.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
