【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandarddescribestheSoxhlet-modeparametertesttoassessthechemicaldurabilityofmaterialsbymeasuringtheinitialdissolutionrateinpurewater.Themeasurementisperformedattheboilingpointofwater,atwhichthedissolutionrateisconsiderablyhigherthanatroomtemperature.Inmostcases,thealterationphenomenaarethereforesignificantlyaccelerated.ThetestdescribedinthisInternationalStandardisintendedtomeasuretheinitialdissolutionrate;itisthusapplicableonlytononporousmaterials(ormaterialswithsmall,closedporosity)forwhichtheprimaryalterationphenomenonisasurfacereactionmechanism(diffusionmechanismsareinvolvedinthedissolutionofporousmedia).Thetestresultscanthereforebecomparedonlywithfindingsobtainedfornonporousmaterialsifseriouserrorsofinterpretationaretobeavoided.Theresulting"initialdissolutionrateinpureboilingwateratatmosphericpressure"canbeusedtocomparematerialsofthesametype(e.g.oxides),providedtheirinitialdissolutionisgovernedbythesamemechanism(e.g.surfacereactions).Thisparametertestcannotbeusedtoassessthelong-termbehaviourofamaterial,whichgenerallyrequiresseveraltests,modellingandvalidation,asdescribed,forexample,inStandardENV12920.Thistestisapplicabletoanyglass,vitrifiedmaterial(i.e.materialresultingfromavitrificationprocess)ornonporousoxidematerialwithamorphologythatallowsthepreparationofmonolithictestcouponsofknownsurfacearea.Itdeterminestheinitialdissolutionrateofthematerialindeionizedwaterattheboilingpoint(approximately100℃)byanalysisoftheleachingsolutionandbymeasurementofthespecimenmassloss.
